Summer of '17 - rain is forecast...+Tips to survive the Danish "summer"

Hey everyone!

Summer started looong time ago, I know, was just busy these days with my holidays - including long time working hours, another project coming up and many more things coming up. Not to mention my non -existing social life which kind of drives me mad. NB: Why are people so busy these days? (Follow up).

It all started, I mean, summer started with my exams and work: what could possibly go wrong? The weather , in the beginning of June was not so bad, yet I had to face cold situations, such as: quitting my job and moving from my dorm on the freaking same day. In a retrospect, it seemed like I was crazy and irresponsible, but luckily most of the things turned out good by the end. I did not get homeless (so no stories from the bridge just yet) and I also received a job and a unrepeatable friendship. Plus, I finally got my shit together, but I had to pay the "Iron Price". Namely? I did not became so popular for it...

Alright, so June and July did not go calm and easy, but now I am finally back on track. I had one week of holiday in Budapest, Sopron and Eger (combined) , through which I experienced the very last Linkin Park concert of our times. Sopron was one of the last stops in the story of Linkin Park; the rest is now an upsetting life story of Chester B. :( But on the other hand, the short visit at home made me realize few things, namely: 1, How much I love my home in Denmark, 2, How much I miss my best friend, Alexa 3, How short the summer can be 4, Why is no Sun in Denmark honestly wtf...
After coming back, the "Mouline Noire" started spinning, not giving me lots of chances to enjoy the summer vibes.
Also, some questions arose in the white noise I experienced  during some lonely days: Why are people so busy that they don't have time for even a short meeting? Even if we are in both living at the same place...Why do we like to isolate? For the record, I know from myself that isolating is not an answer, and definitely doesn't help me. But then why is it so hard for some people to grab their assess and get out to the real world and maintain the connection? I think, because I was searching for answers in myself, it was because of laziness but also ignorance, but then : Why?

I have to tell, in reality, only few percentage of relationships will give You value. The ones you matter to will search for you, and it is going to be mutual. Others? They do not matter. Simple.
And it is not another (may sound like) "saying and praising the truth", but it is happening.

Oh gosh, it was so depressing, wasn't it? Sadly, just like the weather now, 18 degrees, Aarhus, rain, not so nice. Today supposed to be the Viking festival, but I think I might not go because at Moesgaard I would not find my rubber boots in the swamp. :)

NOW : i AM NOT TALKING ABOUT SAD BITS! NOW GOOD STUFF IS COMING!

Tips to survive in Aarhus

1, Risskov/ Mollerup Skov

In Risskov, you can walk alone and imagine yourself like a prince/princess. While you look up the huge trees and finally get toward the sea, you will "anchor" yourself at the harbor and see the newly built Icebergs and more buildings. When you finished with the walk, you get to the center and treat yourself with a Cocio cacao - chocolaty treat will warm your heart up.
Mollerup skov: Bit further from Risskov you will see some Highland Cows (furry, fuzzy, cute) while get a glimpse on the life of a small forest. And it is really close to the Ikea.:)

2, Do some DIY from Sostrene Grene

I recently explored Sostrene Grene's website and DIYs, not only for the crafty. They are easy, cute, not expensive, sustainable and fun. I also recommend to visit their store in the center or in Bruuns Gallery along with Tiger. Get crafty in the shitty weather!

3, Clean your room!

Okay, it might not sound really fancy, and you don't need to do a big makeover on your room. Do 4 things at least, like: 1, wipe the surfaces 2, take out the trash 3, wash the dishes 4, do 1 laundry. Hate all the fuss? Call one of your friends in the meantime, the time will fly! :)

4, IKEA

Again, you don't have to spend a fortune in the IKEA. If you only visit the upper part where the showrooms are, you will instantly feel inspired by the colors, the smell, the new collection, the artwork, etc. If you tempted to buy something, buy 2 small decoration pieces from which one is a candle. When you return home, light it up and enjoy the tiny flame :D (don't burn your room tho).

5, Improve your Danish

Have you heard about the newspaper, PANORAMA? It is an Aarhusian magazine with stories happened in Aarhus, the big World, or issues in Denmark. It is fun, interesting and the language is not so difficult. The first couple of pages you can find small articles that you can easily understand and translate. Feel better? Now you improved your Danish, congrats! Where to find Panorama? Bigger venues, small shops, but visit website first. ;) (Oh, it is for free).

So these were my tips for the instant survival and my summer in a nutshell. I feel I wrote a bit passive aggressively: now I just drink some Cocio and blame it on the weather. :D Cheeeeeeers! <3
